Hi.

I'm Kristin.  I am a wife, aspiring designer, Christian and for now a SAHM.  My husband and I are parents to two darling little boys named Dylan Archer and Kyler Jude.  I created this space to document my family's adventures and lessons I've learned along the way.  The Mom Jungle is a modern interpretation of both the family newsletter and scrapbook.

I call this The Mom Jungle because life is wonderful and messy and indeed, "It's a jungle out there!"

OH THE MESS!

OH THE MESS!

Having a two-year-old is like having a blender that you don’t have the top for.
— Jerry Seinfeld

When my husband and I bought our home last year, I wanted our house predominantly painted a clean, crisp white.  While it may not be everyone’s preference, I love how it reflects light giving my small house a more spacious and airy feel.

One drawback of having an almost all-white house is that it shows every scratch, every ding and every mark.  Our baseboards have dents from cars crashing into them, our sofa has bottle rings etched into the fabric, our windows and appliances have little fingerprint smudges and more often than not, toys are scattered across my living room rug.  Oh the mess!

My house may wear the telltale signs of children running around, but at the end of the day, it’s more than just a house.  It is a home- their home.  No issue, no fuss, I will embrace it all!
