I'm Kristin.  I am a wife, aspiring designer, Christian and for now a SAHM.  My husband and I are parents to two darling little boys named Dylan Archer and Kyler Jude.  I created this space to document my family's adventures and lessons I've learned along the way.  The Mom Jungle is a modern interpretation of both the family newsletter and scrapbook.

I call this The Mom Jungle because life is wonderful and messy and indeed, "It's a jungle out there!"

I am always honoured and humbled when I get feedback from readers.  Behind-the-scenes of the blog world, there is a handy feature called "analytics" which confirms that people actually read TMJ.  Truthfully that boggles my mind especially when I consider I don't promote it, but thank you so much for your kind words!  From the beginning, the primary objective of TMJ is to be a modern interpretation of both the family newsletter and scrapbook.  I like the idea of my kids looking back at this one day.

When my husband and I were dating, we created a scrapbook of our boyfriend/girlfriend adventures.  While I will always treasure it, I find it too labour intensive and time-consuming with little ones.  Besides, I have so many photos of my boys, how could I possibly choose which ones to include?   I love the idea of being crafty, but I must accept I am not the Martha-type.  More often than not I fall into the w̶h̶y̶-̶m̶a̶k̶e̶-̶i̶t̶-if-you-can-buy-it category.  As I continue to grow and increasingly become more comfortable in my own skin, I find it liberating to recognize not only who I am meant to be, but also who I am not.

To be, or not to be: that is the question.
— William Shakespeare

All of this is a flowery and roundabout way of saying that I am about to upload an m̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶l̶o̶a̶d̶ overload of photos spanning the entire summer.  For those who follow me on Instagram, you will notice an overlap.  With the evolution of technology, I am not certain Instagram will even exist in ten years [Who remembers MySpace or MSN Messenger?] so I figure I will add them here too.  As my husband accepted a new job at the start of July, booking time off for a vacation wasn't in the cards, however; we still took advantage of the warm weather and explored our beautiful little city.  I know looking at other people's family photos may only be borderline interesting at best, but I hope you enjoy the cuteness nonetheless!

I love summer, but I am ready for sweater weather, autumn leaves and pumpkin everything (minus the PSL.. I'm a caramel macchiato girl for life)!
