Choose Your Own Adventure
It is a sobering thought to think of how innovative I could be if I channeled my thinking creatively instead of anxiously. I’ve come to realize the vast majority of what I worry about doesn’t happen… and when it does, God is in the equation. Family and friends are there to support. The difficult in His strength is doable. So when you find yourself in the grips of anxiety, remember God is always in your corner. This isn’t an omen, but a promise. I’m choosing to dwell on the attributes listed in Philippians 4:18, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.” I’m choosing to change the channel on negative thinking and instead tap into the beauty and goodness of life. I’ve always felt most fulfilled and at peace when doing creative work and now I know why.
